Kyuntae Sanders Jr. was born and raised in Marianna, Arkansas, where sports weren’t just entertainment — they were a way of life. From early on, Kyuntae spent countless evenings watching football and basketball games on TV with his family, bonding over big plays, buzzer-beaters, and legendary performances. Those living-room moments planted a seed that would grow into a lifelong passion for sports and storytelling.
While other kids dreamed of being the next star athlete, Kyuntae found himself inspired by the voices behind the scenes — the journalists, broadcasters, and commentators who brought games to life. The way they painted the picture, captured the emotion, and told the stories behind every stat and score sparked his desire to become one of them.

My ultimate aspiration in life is to use my voice and creativity to impact others through media, storytelling, and representation. As a Mass Communication major, I’m passionate about amplifying stories that matter — especially those rooted in culture, community, and authenticity. I want to build a career where I not only report and produce content, but where I influence how narratives are shaped in sports, entertainment, and beyond. Professionally, I aim to become a dynamic media professional — whether as a journalist, producer, digital content creator, or strategist — who helps reshape the way Black voices and HBCU excellence are represented in mainstream platforms. I plan to work in environments that challenge me, sharpen my skills, and allow me to lead meaningful projects that uplift my community. Long-term, I aspire to launch my own media platform or production company that provides opportunities for young creators of color and gives back to students from underrepresented communities — just like me. My life goal is simple but bold: to inspire, to build, and to open doors for others, all while staying grounded in who I am and where I come from.
