Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame has been my ability to be selfless and help students discover their own self-worth and value through excellence. Whether it was organizing events tailored towards identifying resources, finding one's identity, or meeting other freshmen who could help them find their sense of community. As I have become more involved on campus, people have begun to recognize me for my loving and full-of-life personality, which has enabled me to push through adversity. My "fame" isn't about recognition, but rather the impact I am leaving on everyone around me.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moment has been winning the freshman class president. After going through the election process, I was so proud of all the work my committee and I had accomplished over such a short amount of time. I had met so many freshmen and upperclassmen who have made my experience at PVAMU so much better by the day, but if I hadn't run, I would have never stepped out of my shell the way that I have. After the long nights of making flyers and posters and hearing my name in the megaphone, I was overjoyed. In fact, in the video, I literally started screaming with joy, and all my friends were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I can't believe that I am the freshman class president, but I wouldn't change it for anything, and it has by far been the best part of my experience at PVAMU.
