HSBC - North America is providing funds to support graduating seniors at UNCF member institutions whose college finances may have been compromised by such circumstances as family home foreclosure, parent or guardian job loss or medical expenses associated with a major illness. Eligible applicants must be graduating from a UNCF member school during the 2009 -2010 academic year, have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Applicants must provide an essay describing their personal economic circumstances. A financial need statement, completed by their Financial Aid office, must also be submitted. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
