SAT or ACT...Which one Posted on 10-03-2004

I'm a Junior at Redan High in Atlanta, Georgia and the only test that's stressed here is the SAT...we rarely hear about the ACT...I've heard that the ACT is easier than the SAT...but which test is better for college admissions??...based on my mock and diagnostic SAT tests I can easily make around a 1100+ and I have a 3.7 GPA while taking AP and Gifted courses...will this be looked at more highly than a 25+ on the ACT? oh yea...I'm tryna get into the great Howard University and I want to apply early action so I'm tryna get everything situated by this summer and not to mention my parents are on my **** about it

Hey girl wasup? I see you reppin ATL too. But to your question. Both tests are extremely different, but neither one of them is better for admission into college. Now that there are changing the SAT, you might do better and be less stressed if you take the ACT. I'm mad that you want to go to Howard..you should come to the real HU. Lol I'm just playing, my best friend goes to Howard. But good luck with the tests.

Well I have taken both and to me I think the ACT is a better assesment of your "skills" than the SAT. The ACT is a little longer and goes above the SAT when it comes to math problems, but I liked it better. It is what actually got me into college so... what more can I say. If I were you, if you 've taken the SAT and got a good score why waste the money, time, and nerves on the ACT, if you can get accepted on one score then go with that. GOOD LUCK (what schools are you trying to go to?)
