Well I don't know if this is racist in the **gger since. But it definantely could be taken that way...since the boy tried to group all black people together.
I was sitting in homeroom one morning and my friend K and I were talking. There is one other black boy who I will call C. They would always make fun of C and say he looked like a monkey and that he had big lips. Anyways, we were sitting in homeroom and K and I were talking about girl stuff and all of a sudden we here this boy Chase talking. Now Chase is from LaGrange, Ga. From what I heard, LaGrange is somewhat of a hick town. ANyways, he's like there is this really good black place to eat where the cook looks like Aunt Jemima. So me and K look up and not really pay him no mind..lol. Then his friend was like 'Can she cook' and he goes, 'Yea she can cook, (then he looks over at K and I and says) they all can cook'. K and I were like hold up hold up and he and his friends just look at us and bust out laughing because they knew what it meant and so did we.
AT MY SCHOOL, BLACKS ARE THE MINORITIES THERE. WELL, I HAVE 4 CLASSES AND THERE ARE ONLY ABOUT 3 0R 4 OF US IN THERE. ONE DAY, I WAS THE ONLY BLACK PERSON IN ONE OF MY CLASSES. THIS ONE WHITE BOY WAS SITTIN IN THE FRONT AND HE LOOKED AROUND AND SAID OUT LOUD, " HEY Y'ALL, THER ARE NO N**GERS IN THIS CLASS." HE DIDN'T REALIZE THAT I WAS SITTIN WAY IN THE BACK. HE SAW ME AND SAID "OH, THERE IS ONE N**GER IN THIS CLASS." I REALLY WANTED TO JUST KNOCK ALL HIS TEETH OUT BUT, I PLAYED IT COOL. I FORGOT THAT I AM IN THE SOUTH, SO I HAVE DEAL WITH SOME OF THIS STUFF. ME, I AM FROM CALIFORNIA AND I WILL NEVER FORGET WHERE I CAME FROM.
I AM VERY FORTUNATE TO SAY THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM AND HOPEFULLY NEVER WILL BECUASE I DON'T THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP MY COOL IN THAT SITUATION.
I was on my way to Hampton for pre-college last year and the drive from Dallas to Hampton is 26 hours, so of course we wasn't about to drive the whole way. So we stopped in Tennesse. We pulled up in front of the hotel so we could check in and a van shortly pulled up behind us. My mom and aunt was already in the hotel.
The white dude got out looking around and all of a sudden he pulls out a wheelchair and puts his wife or whatever in it. Then heard him say "they see we're handicap, make's no sense" or something like that. Mind you my my and aunt are already in the hotel and they have the keys to the van. Then he says "just like some niggers!" My friend and I just sat there in shock cause this is the first time we were called that to our face.
It took all the soul of God to keep me in that van cause my friend was like "don't worry about it" but I really wanted to confront this dude.
What I have noticed is that racism is much more blatant down south...Up north, there of course is racism but you wont see it directly, you can just tell by what a person may do around you and whatnot. WHen I first got down to FAMU last year and when we flew into Orlando, and drove from Orlando to Tallahasse and riding thru smaller towns I saw the Conferderate flag...that sh*t scared the hell outta me. I seen them in history books and stuff but NEVER in person...Like they are still that mad that they lost the war??? I just dont understand how the black folks down south put up with that...no offense to yall...but that is DEFINITELY sumthing worth having removed in my opinion and protesting about....That mess should be illegal.

The deal with the confederate flag is this:
Around the south, a lot of whites wear it/show it because of bigotry, but they claim that it celebrates the history of the "old south" (AKA: a whites only south). Now since whites as a majority have rule over the court systems, they weren't forced to remove the confederate flag.
