R.KELLY GETS AN EYEFUL October 30, 2004 -- R&B singer R.Kelly and two of his bodyguards were pepper-sprayed in the face last night during a concert at Madison Square Garden by someone in rapper Jay-Z's entourage — forcing Kelly to quit the concert and go to the hospital, Kelly's publicist said. Kelly had performed several songs with Jay-Z, but then suffered a meltdown during a solo when he abruptly stopped singing, claiming audience members were waving guns. "I can't perform under these conditions," said Kelly, before storming off the stage around 9:30 p.m.. While security guards investigated the threat, Jay-Z's entourage grew increasingly annoyed at Kelly's antics. A Jay-Z hanger-on identified as "Tata" — infuriated that the show had been delayed — walked up to Kelly and pepper-sprayed the singer and two of his bodyguards. "Someone in Jay-Z's entourage sprayed him and two bodyguards," said Kelly publicist Allan Mayer. "I think he was upset because they had delayed the show." Law enforcement sources said no guns were recovered. Mayer added that Kelly was heading back onstage because he "wanted to perform, but some idiot decided to spray him." Paramedics tended to Kelly and the two bodyguards before they were taken to St. Vincent's Hospital to get their eyes flushed out. "I can't imagine Jay-Z had anything to do with this," Mayer said. Jay-Z returned to the stage alone minutes later and promised audience members they would still get their money's worth. "Give me a few minutes, I will put on a show for you guys," Jay-Z vowed. He then recruited rappers Ja Rule, Usher, Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige, who were sitting in the first few rows, to perform onstage with him. The show went on, but Jay-Z said he doesn't know why Kelly claimed people were pointing guns at him. "You can't get a gun inside Madison Square Garden," Jay-Z told Hot 97 FM radio. <<<>>> Jay-Z also accused Kelly of being jealous of his talents.<<>>> "If people give me love he can't take it," he said. <<<<>>> Jay-Z said the concerts slated for today and Monday will go on. "I will put a show together," he said. "I don't really need the dude." <<<>>> http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/31383.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally some Karma for R.Kelly's pediphile ****.....wish he had been beat up tho pepper spray goes away so quickly....The man is criminally insane and don't give a f'uck bout the ppl who paid to see him perform and flaunts his perv acts like he an innocent man who got tricked into liking lil girls. And good show to Jay and them, THATS HOW NY DOES IT.

R.Kelly Ditches NY Show Date; Jay-Z Furious By Jigsaw Date: 10/30/2004 1:24 am Friday, the private problems between Jay-Z and R.Kelly bubbled over publicly as Kelly abruptly left the highly touted hometown Best of Both Worlds tour date at Madison Square Garden in New York City. According to Kelly’s publicist, Kelly and two bodyguards was pepper sprayed by members of Jay-Z’s entourage, forcing him to go to the hospital. Several songs into his performance, Kelly claimed members of the audience were flashing guns, prompting him to storm off of the stage. Kelly’s publicist said he doubted Jay-Z had anything to do with the incidents, while Jay-Z vowed to give fans in New York the concerts they paid for, without Kelly. Two more shows are scheduled for tonight (October 30th) and Monday (November 1st). In a recent interview, Jay-Z expressed his frustration, even though he downplayed the supposed tension between the pair. “He had problems with his lights, his sounds or whatever,” Jay-Z told AllHipHop.com. “Me, I just need a mic and a bunch of people that I connect with and I’m cool. My frustration is I don’t ever want to miss a show. I don’t want a kid in Connecticut holding a ticket for 29 days and on the 30th day, we can’t go there because of lights. I’m not a person that cares about lights. F**k the lights. Lets get busy.” However, after Kelly ditched the performance at Madison Square Garden, Jay-Z’s communicated his resentment in an exclusive interview with Angie Martinez of Hot 97 right after performing the Oct. 29 show by himself. “This is just disrespectful, [leaving the New York date]. Everybody better grab their Best of Both Worlds albums, because that’s it. It’s too much. Certain things aren’t meant to be. It looks good on paper,” Hov said to Martinez. “I went way outta my way. The first night [in Chicago] was terrible. I’m waiting in my white suit for two hours. The guy don’t come downstairs…you don’t do that. I’m like, ‘I don’t work for you, B. I gave him that leeway, because that’s his town.” “I did my best, I put [my show] together in 5 minutes,” he said of the Kelly-less New York show. Mary J. Blige was present and Jay suggested that perhaps a duet album with the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul would be a more fruitful effort. “I would just love to do the Best of Both Worlds, me and Mary. I’ma put it out there,” he said. According to those present in the studio, R. Kelly attempted to call in the station, but Jay-Z refused to take his call. Jigga also shot the notion of people flashing guns down. “They are tough in the Garden. It’s tough. You cannot get a gun in Madison Square Garden. Are you crazy?” he asked. Jay-Z said, “Tell him to look me in my face at talk to me. Tell him he can’t touch that stage. If they want to see a show without him, they are welcome to see a show. I’m just here for New York now. I don’t know about the rest of the tour. Tell **** come see me, I’ma be at Club 40/40.” The incident leaves the rest of the already unstable tour up in the air. There are 14 remaining dates on the tour. “If I get love, he can’t take that,” he said. “I’m not here to outshine [him].” http://www.allhiphop.com/hiphopnews/?ID=3674

dayyyyyyyyyyyuuummmmmmmmmmm... thank GOODNESS they did the Greensboro, NC show earlier in the tour...well, not too early (the Chicago show :?)...but early enough 2 where we didn't have 2 go thru this mess.... I LOVE R. Kelly's music....I have for a loonnng time....and I comPLETEly disagree with what ALbeknownst of the Barons said about him being "talentless"....you REALLY must not have heard ANY of his songs from ANY album EVER to make a bold statement like THAT... now, i understand that you have certain feelings and opinions towards his criminal charges & the trouble he's gotten himself into, but to just categorize all of his musical efforts as "talentless"...what in tha WORLD?!? & ol' dude(s) really didn't have 2 pepperspray R. Kelly....that wuz really uncalled for....but i do feel that R. Kelly needs to be more professional about everything...because like Jay mentioned in his comments, i would've been HIGHLY **** if i would've had my ticket for damn 29 dayz, only for them 2 cancel on the 30th day over some B/S! it really saddens me to hear Jay speakin' down of R. Kelly & R. Kelly continuing to give him more reason 2....this is really a potentially excellent collaboration gone bad....two of the music industry's most talented individual with the capacity of coming together and breaking records...and they just can't get along or complement each other for NOTHIN'! i guess like Jay said also...this just maybe really wasn't meant to be... but anywayz....

   R. Kelly gets on my DAYYYYYUMM nerves....His **** needs to go to prison now. Im tired of seeing his face and hearing his voice. If they can convict Martha Stewart of theft then I KNOW one of the MANY of Kelz's **** charges will put his black **** in jail. Seriously tho, he is just hatin on Jay...I heard them on a radio interview the other day and I know they mentioned they were having problems with each other here and there...but this is ridiculous. He gonna claim he sees guns in the audience??? :? Is he serious??? Just so they can shut down the concert while Jay's performin. I completely agree with Jay when he says R. Kelly hates for people to show him alot of love on stage...R. Kelly is a jealous **** and needs to grow da fukk up.

R.Kelly is cool and everything..but most of the people are going for Jay. Period Point Blank. That's why I went. Thats why I stood in that hot **** sun on the strip for 5 hours....to go see Jay. When I was at the concert, I sat down during Kelz's parts. After a hour of air ****, you get tired of it. For him to say they were waving GUNS at him...during a concert? GUNS? Wouldn't they have shot his **** if they were waving guns at him? All I know is that everytime a Best of Both Worlds CD comes out...here comes R.Kelly with the mufuccing drama....Rumor is that after the concert he was in McDonald's for like 3 hours...that man won't scared for his life...
