I have a question. I am a freshman at Cheyney University and I noticed something about our HBCU's. Everytime u go into a big college search engine like princetonreview.com and collegeboard.com or even some big name college books; our colleges are not in there and if they are there is missing or inconsitent information. Furthermore, in terms of college rankings such as princetonreview's Best 357 Colleges our schools have some of the worst rankings in Financial Aid, Admissions, and Library Systems. The question is why is it our schools always have these poor ratings and inconsitent information? It is rather sad that there is not really a more postive overall view of HBCU's. Tell me what u think about this issue.
I think HBCUs get those ratings......because it is true
and being that they are HBCUs of course they'd be the first to get put ON BLAST
but if im not mistaken MAJORITY of Howard's information is on princetonreview.....
UMM YEAH, WHEN I WENT TO THOSE SITES HAMPTON WAS FEATUREDON THERE. BUT LIKE NAHD SAID THE REASON WHY WE GET THE WORST RATINGS FOR FINANCIAL AID IS BECAUSE ITS TRUE. HAMPTON AND HOWARD ONLY OFFERED ME LOANS (GOOD THING I MANAGED TO GET ROTC TO PAY FOR MY SCHOOL). HBCU'S ARENT VERY GOOD ABOUT GIVING PEOPLE GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS, AND THEY ACTUALLY COST MORE MONEY THAN MANY PWI'S. ITS SAD
