Why do you listen to the music you listen to? What appeals you to it. Just make a list of the things that you look for in a song. What matters the most to you. A tight beat? Hot lyrics and content? Wordplay? Whats your reason for listenin ta what you listen to?
Well I listen to everything from country to rock to rap....everything except classical and jazz....I basically listen to the type of music I listen to because it sounds good...But for rap, I listen to the words but a good beat helps and everything else I listen to, I listen to it because it sounds good...no particular reason...
well i listen to everything except hardcore, gangsta rap. i listen mostly to music that will make me think and inspire me (laurn hill, india arie, common). i dont listen to unproductive music that just fills my mind up with a lot of crazy stuff... and i definatlely dont listen to music that degrade women.... :evil:
i love techno because i think it's spiritual and rock n roll..i can identify with alot of the crap the dudes are saying in the lyrics...the strokes, the cars...alls they do is sing about failing to find love n all the trouble women ive em and the different kind of woemn n what not...love it

I listen to gospel, no matter if its on the R&B tip, rap, contemporary, rock, or traditional. Its always somethin that I can identify with and plus its alot of people who talk about the types of things that touch yo mind.
Thats like a couple genres ri there besides that I listen to jazz once in a while.
^^^im just like that.all i do is mess with fruity loops and im tryna learn this program called cubase.i love tryna make beats and whatnot so naturally i love the neptunes,timbaland,9thwonder,kanye, and alchemist.but i also listen to oldies just because it sounds good.just to get that feelin of back in tha day when i wasnt born.they had some good music back then.im also a jazz fan.sometimes i jus need to listen to some jazz and jus chill out after a hard day
Thanks for the correction I took it too quick that you was generalizing. But about the rock bein satan worshippers and all its just that I grew up not listenin to it at all and the only type of rock that I actually stood out to me was dudes like ICP and marylin manson lookin all crazy and stuff. Like last year tho this girl had me listenin to some linkin park and some otha cat that I didnt like. After that somebody else put me onto POD and I gained mad respect for it. That just like broke open my taste of music. Its scary sometimes cause I might find myself likin some types of pop :x
I listen to rap music with the hard "knockin pictures off the wall beats" I'm the biggest oldies fan though (although everyone will come in here claiming that they are), because that music paints a much better picture of relationships than any much today (except John Legend).
