terry shivo... Posted on 03-16-2005
Hahaha

eh man i want to know what yall think about this? i think this guys a complete scumbag...i'd never alllow my wife to starve to death as long as she wasn't living in pain...even though her quality of life may be poor, as long as my baby wasn't in pain, i'd want to see her live. he said something about them having a conversation about something like this years before her accident happened, and he said that she said she'd want to die...but most doctors will tell you that people change thier minds and actually want to live once something like that happens to them...plus in my life, i befriended a person that had a stroke and was in a similar situation as terri...she's bedridden, can barely talk, had bedsores and almost died, was on a feeding toob for nearly a year...i could never ever see miss margarite moten being starved to death...she didn't look like she wanted to go either....margarite just wanted to live man... let me remind you that this guy was offered $10 million to let her live a few months back...now he's being offered at least $2.5 million... so i guess it's not about the insurance money. he just wants to see his wife go...but her parents and many others want to see her live...i support them... so when she dies, they're gonna take away her feeding toob and she's just gonna starve to death...you hear people talking about "not wanting to live that way..." but would you want to die that way? starving to death??? what do yall think? http://www.terrisfight.org/ >>

I was just reading about this issue, and I think that the husband's decision is not that irrational. Terri Schiavo has been severely brain **** since 1990, that's 15 years. Could you imagine having something like that happen to you? This woman is alive but she's definately not living. However, I really don't think it's the courts decision on what to do. I think it should be her husband's decision; I can understand why he would want to pull the feeding tube, because I know I personally wouldn't wanna see the one I love suffer in that way especially not for that long.

I know it is wrong but. I think that her husband should just let her parents take care of her. All this is doing to him is taking a toll on him and him pockets. I mean once you are brain **** you can't really do nutthan but become a veggie. To me he should have just signed care over to his parents when they took this to court the last time.

I think they should let her live....... Starving her to death??? That seems pretty cruel and unusual, and that is just watching a person die slowly and starving to death is suffering. I don't know about you, but when I havn't had anything to eat for a while, that's a horrible feeling, so imagine that times 10....Let her go on her own time, killing her by starving her isn't helping. Personally if I were in that situation, I'd just love any kind of attention, love, affection, and whatever else that my family and friends give to me would make life worth living even in that condition.
