A Powerfull Poem I Heard At A Cafe..

Yep, I'm into the Spoken Word scene and I decided to go to the Spoken Word Cafe in the Chicago South Suburbs. The place was packed with beautiful young African Americans that had something on their mind. Instead of telling you every deep poem I heard; I'll just mention what really stood out. This one female was just BEAUTIFUL. Light skinned, pretty face, nice long hair and a body that any man would lust over. She approached the stage as if she was ready to cry but she told the audience that it was a love poem about her EX. The Poem went a little like this atleast what I could remember.... When I first saw his face/ I was affected by his good looks and charm/ The attention he showed me on those lonely nights/ I was affected/ After several months/ I was affected by his love I was also INFECTED/ With the HIV virus/ Scary sh*t... Be careful peeps...

I heard that somewhere, or read it in a magazine before, I swear it had them same lines in it, but it was talking about how it was her friend from day one, and when the eventually got togeather and did there thing, she ended up gettin ****, thats sad.

yea, that's some messed up stuff right there. i think she was really strong for putting it out there like that. that's really sad...
