PRAISE THE LORD!!! TO **** OR NOT TO ****...THAT IS THE QUESTION??? Woman Sues Kmart Over Toilet Paper Tax Friday, October 5, 2007 PITTSBURGH - A woman has sued Kmart for allegedly collecting a 7 percent state sales tax on a nontaxable item: a 12-pack of toilet tissue. Mary Bach alleges a Kmart department store in the Pittsburgh suburb of Monroeville improperly collected the tax on the $3.99 item, charging her $4.27 - or 28 cents too much. Although most paper goods are taxable under Pennsylvania's sales tax code, toilet tissue is listed as a nontaxable item by the state Department of Revenue. Bach told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette she was overcharged for the item at the same store twice before she filed the small claims suit last month in district court in Monroeville. She is seeking $100 in damages plus court costs for the alleged violation of the state's Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law. Under the law, plaintiffs can **** for the amount of the damages or $100, whichever is greater, said Bach, of Murrysville. A Kmart spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking comment Friday. PRAISE THE LORD!!! IT TURNS OUT THAT "THE **** ARE MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD!!!" Women Send **** to Myanmar in Protest Friday, October 19, 2007 BANGKOK, Thailand - Women in several countries have begun sending their **** to Myanmar embassies in a culturally insulting gesture of protest against the recent **** crackdown there, a campaign supporter said Friday. "It's an extremely strong message in Burmese and in all Southeast Asian culture," said Liz Hilton, who supports an activist group that launched the "**** for Peace" drive earlier this week. The group, Lanna Action for Burma, says the country's superstitious generals, especially junta leader Gen. Than Shwe, also believe that contact with women's underwear saps them of power. To widespread international condemnation, the military in Myanmar, also known as Burma, crushed mass anti-regime demonstrations recently and continues to hunt down and imprison those who took part. Hilton said women in Thailand, Australia, Singapore, England and other European countries have started sending or delivering their underwear to Myanmar missions following informal coordination among activist organizations and individuals. "You can post, deliver or fling your **** at the closest Burmese Embassy any day from today. Send early, send often!" the Lanna Action for Burma Web site urges. "So far we have had no response from Burmese officials," Hilton said. --- On the Net: http://lannaactionforumburma.blogspot.com

PRAISE THE LORD!!! "IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY..." Flashing Rude Tattoo Costs Pa. Man Wednesday, October 31, 2007 WEST CHESTER, Pa. - A man accused of kicking an argument with his neighbor up a notch by removing his shirt to reveal a two-word expletive tattoo faces 90 days probation and a $50 fine. Jason Kaminski pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a summary charge of disorderly conduct. Neighbor Chris Carr said he asked Kaminski if he could keep the noise down following a noisy party. Carr said Kaminski cursed, bared the expletive tattoo on his chest, kicked Carr's vehicle and motioned as though to break off his rear view mirror. Carr didn't attend the court hearing in West Chester. Assistant District Attorney Beth Bowers said Carr doesn't object to Kaminski's summary plea. --- Information from: Daily Local News, loading..

Two Women Shot While Holding Their Babies Thursday, January 17th, 2008 Indianapolis, Indiana was rocked to its core by the senseless killings of two women, a toddler and a baby who were shot multiple times while being held in their mother's arms. Police are searching for two men who were seen running from the home. The victims were Charlii Yarrell, 4 months; Charlii's mother, Andrea Yarrell, 24; Jordan Hunt, 23 months; and Jordan's mother, Gina Hunt, 24. The two women and the toddler died at the scene. Four-month-old Charlii Yarrell was taken to Methodist Hospital with several gun shot wounds. She died a few hours later. Police initially investigated a burglary at a vacant house late Monday night. A short time later they were called again about gunshots being fired across the street from the vacant house. Police entered the home through a broken window and found the bodies. A set of electronic scales, a safe, a pound marijuana and several long guns were found in the house, according to police. Two handguns were later found in the street near the home. The story has received national press coverage and more than 80 investigators have been assigned to the case. The murders are a top priority for every uniformed law enforcement officer in Indianapolis. "Whoever is responsible for this, we're going to track you down like dogs," Marion County Sheriff Frank Anderson said. "We're not going to stop until we find you and put you in a cage where you belong."

Coffee break for Starbucks' 135,000 baristas Coffee chain to close all 7,100 stores for employee training. Dunkin' Donuts offers 99 cent promotion. Starbucks lovers will have to look elsewhere for their caffeine fixes from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Warning to Starbucks junkies who usually get a fix on their way home from work: You're out of luck on Tuesday. Starbucks, which last week announced 600 layoffs, plans to temporarily close its 7,100 U.S. stores on Tuesday for three hours of employee training. The coffee chain said the in-store training program which will begin at 5:30 p.m. local time, would foster enthusiasm in its 135,000 U.S. employees and improve the quality of drinks made by Starbucks baristas. "We believe that this is a bold demonstration of our commitment to our core and a reaffirmation of our coffee leadership," said chief executive Howard Schultz in a statement. Stores that normally stay open beyond 8:30 p.m. will resume service after the training session is finished. But for those who still need their afternoon dose of caffeine, there is a cheap alternative. Dunkin' Donuts - "to ensure that no coffee lover is denied a delicious espresso-based beverage" - announced that it will offer small lattes, cappuccinos or espresso drinks for a promotional price of 99 cents on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Starbucks (SBUX, Fortune 500) has seen rising competition from privately-held Dunkin' Donuts and McDonalds (MCD, Fortune 500) recently, and welcomed founder Schultz back as CEO in January after a lackluster performance by the company in the latter half of 2007.
