I can't believe you people dislike Obama for having a Che poster in his office. Don't get me wrong, I don't support Obama, because I do not think he represents the interests of black people, or working people in general, but for him to have a Che poster in one of his offices makes me dislike him slightly less. I can't believe you people "OMG, Che, thats so bad!"

Do we need a reality check here? Why is everyone on his case? How can you say that Obama isn't for Blacks and working class pople? If he isn't then we are sure in for one hell of another eight years because the other candidates sure aren't. Also, you have to remember that sometimes, campaigners imbue their own political views into what is being recorded by the media and the media is looking to have a field day with that stuff so you have to be careful judging PRESIDENT OBAMA by the actions of others. He is lucky to have many of his supporters, though some like Rev. Wright, are not beneficial to his campaign because people choose to get stuck on thier actions rather than his.

All of us get a little dirty during the course of a day. But at some point it becomes a problem. The problem with Obama's associations are the nature of those associations in that they are long standing and close to heart. As for Obama's politics, they are simply socialisms. One would do as well to rob ones neighbor, than to hire Obama to do do it for them and wipe thier hands of the matter. Well it's legal they say. But I have never seen legality as a light brighter than my conscience. At some point one must choose principle over lust and greed....if not for the nation, then for ones own peace of mind. That upon which one sets ones heart is in the end either ones salvation or ones despair.

Regarding the Che poster. It's my understanding that it was hung by a staff member at that particular office, and was/is not a political statement by the the Obama campaign. At worst, things of this nature are representative of Obama supporters, and a stretch to pin it on Obama as he couldn't possibly inspect every campaign office across the entire nation. BTW, I'm not an Obama supporter.

It is so funny how people spout ideology when speaking of politics but never pure fact. You're just as bad as they are. What one has to consider is that no one is perfect, and people look to politicians to intentionally persecute them based on their shortcomings or what we consider as their shortcomings. You call Obama's political foundation "socialist?" I suppose you're a conservative then? What are you, a fascist? Don't spout your jaded egoism off to try and convince me that your politics are "ever-so-much-more-righteous" because I am not a Roman and far too intelligent to be swayed by blatant ranting. Obama's associations are no different than ours. I have past associations, some close enough, that are not sugar sweet. So do you. Yet, you cannot judge me based on the people I know, but rather, my actions alone. How would you define a US diplomat's associations? They have to meet people of different belief patterns and government practices all of the time. They don't always disagree, either. Know why? Because a rational human being, a good diplomat, not only offers the American perspective and purpose, but they are also good at understanding the purposes of others. i don't have to identify with communism and socialism to understand how and why both governments were developed. When Castro was elected, he was a savior, after, a tyrant. Association means nothing when compared with a man's actions. If it did, we'd all be heathens.

This was in my inbox today: A Black Man Why is it that a Black Man can create a tiny piece called a filament (electric light - Lewis Latimer) That allows people to see in the dark? But can't be seen fit to lead a country to the true light. Why is it that a Black Man can create an instrument (clock - Benjamin Banneker) that all People use to tell time? But people don't think it is time for him to run a country. Why is it that a Black Man can design a place for the high authorities to meet in & a place for the President to live in (The Capital & the White House Phillip Reid (a ****) & Pierre L'Enfant)? But not good enough to lead these meetings or live in himself. Why is it that a Black Man was brilliant enough to do the first open heart surgery (Dr. Daniel Hale Williams) And show the world how to get and preserve plasma (Dr. Charles Drew)? But not good enough to put a program in place where everyone can afford this surgery. Why is it that a Black Man was creative enough to design an instrument (traffic light - Garrett Morgan)? To bring multiple people (traffic) to a halt? But not seen creative enough to design a plan to bring all this unnecessary and worthless fighting between countries to an end. Why is it that a Black Man could create the soles (shoes - Jan Matzeliger) that people walk on everyday? But not seen good enough to fill the shoes of a bad president. Why is it that a Black Man was smart enough & brave enough to teach himself (Fredrick Douglas & Thomas Fuller - both slaves) and others how to read, write and/or calculate math? But not seen (as) smart enough and bold enough to calculate a platform to be President to a country that sure needs another first by us. So you see my Brothers and Sisters what I am saying is let us not forget our past, Which led us to our present and can definitely be the backbone to our future. We were good enough, smart enough, creative enough, and bold enough then, so; Lets all give Obama the chance to show that we are still these things and more. We all are as strong as our weakest link, so don't be that weak link that denies; Our people that chance to show we still can OVERCOME & BE THE FIRST. Needless to say. Btw, don't take for granted the fact that we're all experiencing and living history in the making.
