Anybody here looking to attend any of the Inaugural events on January 20, 2009? The events include the Swearing-In Ceremony, Inaugural Parade and the Inauguration Ball. Here is the government site for the events. Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies

I am seriously considering it. I would definitely like to show my support by attending the Inaugural events. It’s good timing because Martin Luther King Day in 2009 is on Monday, the 19th of January.

I just told my supervisor that it's a strong possibility that I will be taking a couple days to attend it. If I can secure some tickets, you can count me in! Project Ticket Acquisition is officially underway!

As big as this moment in time will be, I'm almost certain that at least one organization on A&T's campus will sponsor a trip up for the event.

I absolutely agree with that statement. NC A&T is fairly close to D.C. so I am sure it will be a fun,but serious road trip.

I just contacted my congressperson's office about an hour ago and requested tickets through them. They took my name and other info and put me on the list with other requests. The sites that you may see selling tickets aren't legit, so I wouldn't spend the money they're asking for. For anybody reading this, if you don't know who your congressperson is, use this site. https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml it will tell you who they are and list their local and Washington offices contact info. I was told that my name was added to a loooooooong list so you might wanna act fast!
