Halloween or October 31st? Posted on 10-30-2007
C Nels

Use the poll above to state if you celebrate Halloween, have an alternate celebration or don't do anything? What are your views of October 31st, is it Halloween or just the last day of October?

Okay, someone please explain why parents had their kids trick or treating at 4 o'clock in the afternoon?! Good grief, can I come home from work and relax first before you start beating down my door for candy?

PRAISE THE LORD!!! Excuse the frown marks in my forehead, but please feel free to enlighten me if you can. How in the world can you put pagan and spiritual in the same sentence. It doesn't go together neither does it make sense. Now, keep in mind that I'm not trying to down talk what you're doing, but uh, um, give me a break here...help me to understand, because right now I'm clueless.
"Spiritual" is a general term that can be qualified to fit nearly all forms of religious beliefs. It is often contrasted with "dogmatic" because general spirituality is often more individualistic and than mainstream dogmatic religion, which is based on predefined sets of beliefs that usually do not change. Like when someone says they are "spiritual not religious," this usually means that they follow their own religious path that is based on their own personal beliefs and experiences as opposed to the specific dogmas of collectivized religious institutions (e.g. the Catholic church), spiritual individuals may share general concepts with they most closely relate to, but they often have their own interpretation of these concepts. When I say "pagan spiritual" I mean I am being spiritual in a Pagan sense, as opposed to say, a Christian or Muslim kind of way. Perhaps we're using different definitions of "pagan." By "pagan" I'm referring to earth-centered religions such as Wicca, Druidism, and Celtic Spirituality.

It's a lot safer. Cuts down on the number of possible child abductions and pedestrian accidents that could occur later in the evening/night. Quit bein a Scrooge and give the kids some candy! lol

PRAISE THE LORD!!! We, (Me & You) both have the same meaning for pagan. Thank you for explaining what you mean when you say "spirituality." It's a shame that this word is used so loosely. I guess that's why we have so many religious people and not enough Holiness people. To be totally honest with you, it seems like you're talking in circles. It might make sense to you as you're saying it, but for as for me, it doesn't make sense as I'm reading it. How can you be spiritual about something that's not even real? Excuse me for a minute as I get a little deep... Okay, only humans have spirits as well as God. To be spiritual you are linked to a spiritual being. Otherwise, you're just meditating. This life is not about everybody having their own religion, their own beliefs, their own way of doing things, their own interpretation of things...that's hogwash, meaning that's ridiculous. I haven't read it anywhere in my bible where it states that the people can do whatever they want to do. Actually, everytime someone in the bible decided to have their own religion, have their own beliefs, have their own way of doing things and having their own interpretation of things the Lord punished them. For some reason people think that the Lord just **** and destroyed people in the bible, but he still does that today!!!
