I just see some people name and they be tight, unique names...Some people be biting off other people...Some people sn makes no damn sense at all....
So, I was wondering where did ur sn name derive from? What was ya inspiration?
Well the folx at my barbershop always calls somebody "cool" instead of "cuz" or "homeboy" or "sir."
Example...."Wuzzup Cool"
Everytime i went to get my haircut, they were callin somebody "cool"....
Example...."How you want it, cool?"
So i took that sheit, and replaced the "C" with a "K", and came up with "Kool". Kinda like the cigarettes that your smokin elder relative (auntie, uncle...) smokes. :wink:

ReDD Harlem Dev'iLL
Which originally was DeViuS DeV'iLL and THAT was my tag from High School and being apart of my fam of Artist, we had a few names that we'd toss around.
Now the Harlem came from me moving to Harlem in '95, and I would constantly shout it out, wherever I was it was always HAAAARLEM!!! So people just got used to me saying that and started callin me that after a while (actually Young Harlem)... which I really couldn't stand cuz I was from BrooKlyn, but after '99 the name stucK with me! So I put Harlem with my other name (DeV'iLL) and that had a nice ring to it.
ReDD came from being my color of choice. That plus it's a lucKy color for me, when I wear it good things happen
Soooo it went from Harlem DeV'iLL to ReDD Harlem DeV'iLL. And I've used it and gone by it since 01... Also, I wrote this story which I might just turn into a Movie or get it published into a booK, and the main Character is a ReDD Harlem DeV'iLL :twisted:
I tell you what tho... Online is not going to be the only place you see this name. Q calls it the DeV'iLL TaKeOver cuz there are quite a few of us now

Oddly enough tho....besides all of you HBCU heads and a few other people from school....no one refers to me as Mila....its usually, Jamila, J, or MiMi...
I read a lot and I'm a fan of the Negro Leagues baseball team and ppl say I can pop up and disapear at will and it freaks them out..so...
