Tomboys are cool. Girls who dress/act/look like boys are not. When I go to the mall sometimes I see them. I once thought I saw cool dude walking with matching gear. and he/she stopped to talk to me and my friend and it turned out it was a girl. that's not right. i was scarred for life.
that's because she was prolly a stud...i see too many of them around my way...
i know imma tomboy ain't nobody gotta tell me that...but i also enjoy being femine...i like to shop...its normally for jeans sneakers and a hat, but still that's what makes me happy...and like Personailty said its more easy to talk to guys cuz ya'll always have some kind of common ground it might be sports or it might be video games...it used to be a big deal when i got all "dolled" up but lately i've been doing it more...but i will forever remain faithful to the good ol' jeans sneakers t shirt and a hat
Well, I won't lie to you. I'm a tomboy to the heart, for real. I love to slide and get dirty and what-not when I'm playing softball and I even like a little contact with it. **but not the contact that used to leave me feeling like my wind was knocked the isht out of me.lol** I like to spike/**** when playing volleyball. It's that good feeling you have when you know you've just earned some points *and braggin rights* and what-not. My nails STAYED short and undone **plus I couldn't play my piano with all those nails/ and it's just too much to worry about when you're thinking about NOT BREAKING A NAIL** (Just keep 'em short and sweet and you won't have that problem. *But that's just me* I only get my hair fixed every BLUE moon (and I mean that in the most literal way) b/c I'm always outside and in the sun, sweating, so there's no point. It either stays down or in a ponytail cuz I like how ponytails swing when you're running track....I eat like there's no tomorrow. I can't be girly or something while I'm eating **but this doesn't count in the GOOD restaurants where that counts** and I can't STAND to see girls who are afraid to eat in front of folks. You can feed that to the starving children of Ethiopia for that isht....
...but I know when to hold off on that. I know when to wear heels or get my hair done up, and I KNOW when to dress to impress. The only difference is--I'm not HIGH maintenance. I sort of grew out of my INTENSE phases of tomboy-ness, but it's still there...full-throttle.....but that's just me....
**smh@my long arse post**
i mean im a tomboy more in dress than sports, though I will play a game of b-ball if given the chance...and i love hiking, and ive always wanted to rock climb, and i love laser tag ummm..lemme stop....anyways....i like dressing kinda boyish most of the times cause i like the suprise response when people see me all dressed up...its not that I dont know how to dress or put on makeup , heck i can walk better in heels than most people ...but its sad to say but people ALL PEOPLE, including guys but especially other girls, will treat you soooo much differently when you are dressed up when before they may have wanted to tease ya or something or not take you seriously, and I like to make people swallow their tongue from their initial ignorance...and heck yeah tomboys or former tomboys usually have the best bodies cause we aint afraid to do sports, workout, etc unlike the prissy ones who are afraid to break a nail lol...but right now i think im dressing more feminine since Im trying to look good in the corporate world in the future and I need to feel comfortable dressing like that on a constant basis
I used to be a tomboy but now I'm just kinda low maintenance. When I was little you couldn't beat me playin' football and climbing trees and you would never see me jumping rope or hula hooping or whatever. I mostly hung out with guys (still do) because they're more accepting. I don't really play sports anymore (I joined the band) bit I still odn't spend alot of time thinking about make up and things that are considered really girly. I keep my hair presentable, my nails even and polished (clear) and I dress kinda sporty. I do know how to dress and wear make up though. When I dress up, I represent. So I'm not a tomboy or a gurly gurl, I'm just being me and doing what's comfortable.

Nah, ain't that the truth? Most guys really dig a toned body, mostly b/c they're the ones that will WEAR the clothes and not let the clothes wear THEM....Wearing heels will REALLY bring out the "tone-ness" in some legs....cuz sometimes a girl likes to show off how hard she worked to keep that body.....Most GIRLY girls will look flabby as L cuz their body's got no kind of shape...
