okay, i don't think i'm alone when i saw that i think there is a reason God puts anyone in your life, right? regardless of who they are and how long they stay around....there is a purpose for the short or long visit of EVERYone you know.... so, given that....if God told you right now that particularly in the last FIVE YEARS (as in all of 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 - NOT '99!!), there specifically have been 10 individuals you MET who have given some type of contribution to the person you are today, the person you are to become, your way of thinking, etc. etc..... so who would you say these 10 people have been...and as briefly as possible...what did they leave you with about either (or all of) yourself, life in general, the world, people, etc...? what lesson did you learn from knowing them??? and finally, do you still know/keep in contact with them?? u can share why not if u don't...but that's optional.. now, these people could have been in your life for all of 1 hour...maybe 3 months....2 years....or the whole 5-year period...BUT...the keywords r that you MET them during this time frame...so, like...unless you're 4 yrs. old or some ish, ya can't say ya mama, get it?? or u can't mention the best friend u've known now since the 2nd grade.... ALSO....these people could have been the best of people....and they could have been the worst of people....they could have given you the greatest of experiences....and they could have supplied you with the greatest of burdens and/or stress...they could be loved ones...."hated" ones...long-lost cousins...neighbors...strangers...a baby you had within the last 5 years....the mailman from the house u stayed in during 2001....whoEVer...LITerally...

 Janai- MY SISTER and partner in crime. She keeps it REAL. I love her because we have the same qualities. We go through the same stuff and believe God will get us through it some way, some how. I can talk to her about ANYTHING. We still keep in touch because she goes to Johnston and Wales in my hometown. Lori- She is the REALEST asian I have ever met. I love her to death. We clicked automatically. We help each other through things in life  Paris- My BEST BUDDDDY!!! I love her so much. She is nice and caring. I miss her soo much. But I still call her. Monique- She is cool. Monique represent teachs me how to responsible. She is the boss of her mother's interpretation service. She goes to school also. I have never seen someone so mature and smart. Jennifer- The wild one. She is caring and a good listener. She teachs me how to live life to the fullest. Secoya-She speaks her mind. She is the debator. I love her dearly. Toya- Ms. New Jersey. I met her this year in college. Me and her are just alike. Amisha- She is MEAN. My cousin/brother Bobby: My nikka like no other. We've been down since birth (he's 3 weeks older than me). We "jumped off the porch" together. Alex: Met her in 6th grade. Didn't really get cool with her until 8th grade, after she found out i was leaving that school. Stayed cool. She's like a sister to me. She, just like Bobby, is one of those "lifetime friends." She's one of those friends that you can call up at 3am...just because you were bored/needed someone to talk to. All the homeboys from high school: We hadn't kicked it in a minute. We were the group of kids in high school that set fire to garbage cans, acted a plumm fool...for a while, they were my biggest social surroundings. My ex: She was alright until i opened my eyes to what was really goin on. Some people are brought into your life to teach you lessons...she was one of those people (as well as the other ex's). Mom & Dad: Some people mold you into who you are, like seriously. Those are just meant to stay. My homeboy-turned-cousin Courtney: He used to live next door to me. Didn't find out that we were related until a few years after we started hangin with each other. We, along with my other pre-high school homeboys from around the way, dont even kick it no more. Busy/conflicting schedules just keep everybody occupied and away from each other. My college people: Don't know if these were "seasonal" relationships or not, but these were my drinking buddy's from freshman/sophomore year. Damn i miss ya'll. We all spent some blurry nites together. We laughed, we cried, we vomited...we all need to get together for a reunion. I'll be back when i can remember (and feel like typing) more.

Jarrett - taught me how to love; he was my 1st and only love. We are still very close friends. Our mothers are best friends. Coach Coverson - everything I know now about track & how to be a true athlete; he was 1 of my summer track coaches who was straight out da military and was very, very strict. I see him now only when I go see the high school track meets. Moneika (my old roommate) - taught me self control and patience; even though she is so lame and tried da hell outta me, I still kept my cool and acted like an adult. We see each other from time to time but I often confuse her with King Kong. Shante - gives me all my positive advice about males, life, etc. She also showed me that we don't have to have anything in common to be best friends; Shante is my best friend. She knows ABSOLUTELY nothing of sports and doesn't even know ESPN exists. The only thing she watches is Lifetime and soap operas. She always has to have her hair and nails done and can't be w/o a boyfriend. Despite how different we are we are still best friends. Mrs. Walker - taught me the meaning of being dedicated and determined. she also taught me "when in doubt lay out."; she was my high school and favorite band director. I see her now only if I'm going to one of her concerts or over Jarrett's house. Apples - I really can't explain my friend Apples. She's the nicest girl I ever met. She is so friendly and just a happy person. I never known her to have an enemy. I guess she taught me that true beauty comes from within. We still keep in contact. Lauren - taught me that pretty girls can play sports and kick **** too; now Lauren is my #1 b!tch. Even in heels she's ALWAYS down for whatever. Girls listen up, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A **** TO PLAY SPORTS so quit looking like one. Just got off da phone wit her **** so yeah we still keep in contact. Paine's girls track team - now deez b!tches taught me that girls will be girls. after running with that team I don't think I can ever hate on another girl; they hated me and my other 2 homies b4 we even got to the damn school because of da coach bragging over the summer. they used to make up lies about us and tell the coach. now if dat ain't some sh!t for yo ****. I wouldn't wanna keep in contact with them for nothing. Rod - yes I'm talking bout OUR Rod. Rod taught me that you can make friends w/o ever seeing them. He basically introduced me to online friends; Rod was my first online friend. We still cool but I gotta call him sooner or later. Imani - I believe Imani was an angel sent to my high school to help our trackt team succeed senior year. It's funny cuz she came my senior year and went back to Jersey after we graduated. She can no longer do sports like she wants to because of chest problems. I'll never forget Mani, dat's my n!gga.

1) My ex Tristan: Taught me how to love and forgive. He and I have been through some things, but I do love him with 3/4's of my heart. Lol. He was and will always be my first love. Now we are back talking and he has taught me it is ok to forgive and give second chances. I love you. 2) My best friend Brittany: We have had our fair share of ups and downs. When people flaked out on me in the past she was always there. I can always go to her when I need her and talk to her about anything. 3) Mr. Bryant: My history teach sophmore year in high school. Gave me space to do what I needed to do, but always pushed me to do better because he knew I could. Taught me to never give up. Got an A out of that class. 4) Mrs. Klein: My English teacher junior year of high school. SHe was always there to support me even when I felt I didn't have what it took. 5) Alex, Marcus, and Christopher: Taught me there are more to people than looks. Letting me know I am beautiful even though I don't think so. These guys have been with me thru the good and bad and we support each other. I love ya'll. The rest I will have to come back and do later.

wow...i'm really glad everyone took the question seriously...even for those who said they'd come back w/ their responses...b/c i know it ain't an easy, str8-forward question for everyone.... see, personally, i LOVE the idea of fate...like, regardless of who u know, how or where u know 'em, and how long they r around...everyone has a place, y'know... that is just so amazing to me...just the thought of if one slight course of action or decision would have went differently, you might not know that person....that's crazy... but anyway...it didn't take me long at all to form my list....i thought about the 1st 10 people...& it ended up being the only...because, although i've met SOOOO many people in the last 5 years...only 10 actually fit the criteria i mentioned in the 1st post... only thing is...i know these people have played vital roles...just can't put to complete words what the exact roles have been for all of them...most of them, yes...but not all of 'em... anywayz tho
