Keep in mind that its a rather rigoruoe field and will keep you busy, but not so much that you can't have a personal life. The setting of A&T has also gotten much better since I've been here. We're not situated in the worst section of town like many HBCUs. We're actually a couple of blocks from an execllent dowtown nightlife. The worse sections of Greensboro are actually far enough away that you don't have to worry about them. You'll also find that A&T is in close proximity to other institutions of higher learning, among those being other HBCUs such as North Carolina Central University, Winston - Salem State University, Johnson C. Smith Univeristy, and Bennett College for Women. There are also a number of majority school in the viscinity, such as UNC Greensboro, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, Elon University, and Wake Forest University, as well as other smaller colleges and universities. If you go to the North Carolina A&T State University website (www.ncat.edu) you should be able to send for a free CD rom that should have a lot of information on it as well as exploring the university website itself.
