R.KELLY GETS AN EYEFUL October 30, 2004 -- R&B singer R.Kelly and two of his bodyguards were pepper-sprayed in the face last night during a concert at Madison Square Garden by someone in rapper Jay-Z's entourage — forcing Kelly to quit the concert and go to the hospital, Kelly's publicist said. Kelly had performed several songs with Jay-Z, but then suffered a meltdown during a solo when he abruptly stopped singing, claiming audience members were waving guns. "I can't perform under these conditions," said Kelly, before storming off the stage around 9:30 p.m.. While security guards investigated the threat, Jay-Z's entourage grew increasingly annoyed at Kelly's antics. A Jay-Z hanger-on identified as "Tata" — infuriated that the show had been delayed — walked up to Kelly and pepper-sprayed the singer and two of his bodyguards. "Someone in Jay-Z's entourage sprayed him and two bodyguards," said Kelly publicist Allan Mayer. "I think he was upset because they had delayed the show." Law enforcement sources said no guns were recovered. Mayer added that Kelly was heading back onstage because he "wanted to perform, but some idiot decided to spray him." Paramedics tended to Kelly and the two bodyguards before they were taken to St. Vincent's Hospital to get their eyes flushed out. "I can't imagine Jay-Z had anything to do with this," Mayer said. Jay-Z returned to the stage alone minutes later and promised audience members they would still get their money's worth. "Give me a few minutes, I will put on a show for you guys," Jay-Z vowed. He then recruited rappers Ja Rule, Usher, Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige, who were sitting in the first few rows, to perform onstage with him. The show went on, but Jay-Z said he doesn't know why Kelly claimed people were pointing guns at him. "You can't get a gun inside Madison Square Garden," Jay-Z told Hot 97 FM radio. <<<>>> Jay-Z also accused Kelly of being jealous of his talents.<<>>> "If people give me love he can't take it," he said. <<<<>>> Jay-Z said the concerts slated for today and Monday will go on. "I will put a show together," he said. "I don't really need the dude." <<<>>> http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/31383.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally some Karma for R.Kelly's pediphile ****.....wish he had been beat up tho pepper spray goes away so quickly....The man is criminally insane and don't give a f'uck bout the ppl who paid to see him perform and flaunts his perv acts like he an innocent man who got tricked into liking lil girls. And good show to Jay and them, THATS HOW NY DOES IT.

About this "seeing a gun" on stage? Anybody ever been on stage? YOU CAN'T SEE ****out in the audience. Especially with a professional crew working your lights. Kelz had aleast 50-11 million lights in his face while on stage. Even if the lights were off...you can't see ****out in an audience. If he was getting threats over the phone...he was probably already scared outta his mind and probably IMAGINED somebody with a gun... Otherwise like Jamila said..you can't GET NO GUN in no Madison Square Garden...I've been to Madison. You'd think you were part of taliban they way they search yo **** to get in there...
U aiint neva lied tho! Comm'on now! Madison is HUGE and for him to be on stage and say he saw guns in the audience....BULL SH*T!!! That **** was on sum otha sh*t with this one. R.Kelly is a good artists...but PERSONALLY, if i was gonna go to the conert...i'd be goin to see JaY! For yall thinkin J aiint that innocent neither...u honestly gotta think about it. Who's more of a businessman? Jay or Kelz? Jay got his record label, clothin line, and otha stuff he does. What the hell does Kelz have?! I wanna know! So it is more-so Kelz fault for F**kin up that tour. Jay knows what he gotta do to make that money!

Really though, how are yall goin to side with Jay? Is that just preference or do you actually think he is innocent in all this? None of us were backstage with them, on stage with them, OR flyin around to these city's with them. Now 75 mil is a bit extreme, but when u take into consideration all the money he would lose not being on the tour... This will probably affect R.Kelly's record sales a little bit, but probably not b/c the same people siding with Jay know that they will be bumpin and grindin off another R.Kelly jam at the drop of a dime.
it's pretty easy to side w/ Jigga... come on now... R. Kelly cancels the show... and walks off stage... Jay-Z keeps it going... pretty obvious to me... R. Kelly is showin the way he's actin rightnow...
well i agree w/ both sides...but obviously i'mma be more partial 2 Kelz 'cuz...well i just LOVE his music...i love much of Jay'z as well, but not NEARLY as much as i love R. Kelly'z... but MY question is...did dude really have to call him a "****" :??
yeah, and i see why... R. Kelly doesn't do music and concerts for fans... he does it for himself...

I was watching 106 & Park yesterday and Jay-Z was like he don't know why R Kelly is suing him cuz the promoter is the one who kicked him off. He was like they both signed contracts and his suit will not hold up at all in court. It's sad though cuz they both the best at their games...
