I really don't have too much of an accent...I just speak...hmm...proper...not so much that I "sound white" (don't start the argument...you know what I mean)...It's just that my mom speaks real proper and it rubbed off on me...and my dad really pushes education...but you can definetely tell I'm from the deep south by the way I speak and the slang I use since I've lived all around the south my entire life

Everybody down here in Florida says I have a Chicago accent. And I jus smile, but Im really thinkin, "What the hell is a Chicago accent?" Neways everybody says we sound country to be from "up nawth" especially New Yorkers and pepole from the east coast. A lot of the words I use give away my hometown also... (i.e. bustdown, bogus, bootleg, caa (car), and hea (here or hair), thea (there), etc...) N-steways, I don't think people from detroit, ohio, and st. louis do not have the same accent as us.... O yea, why do southerners always mix Chicagoans and Michigan folks up? Yall don't know how many people down here have said, "You from Michigan right?" or "You said you from Chicago... Chicago and Michigan are like the same thing..."

I hear what Jamila is sayin. I have a country accent (tell em Stephanie). You can understand what I'm saying about 95% of the time, but sometimes I can get downright COUNTRY AS HELL. It's not that bad, tho. But the southern folks have 3 or 4 different southern accents. Southern: Ludacris...Usher. Country: Cee Lo. Outkast  Kuy'un-tree: Lil' Jon...T.I...Youngbloodz...Silkk The Shocker (he talks too fast)...UGK... Creole Kuy'un-tree: Baby (little bit)....Soulja Slim (did ya'll see/hear him talking to that girl on College Hill? That niggga wasn't even understandable, God rest his soul)..Lil Flip....Master P...Most creole kuntree fokes are from Louisiana. When someone is hardly understandable, and it sounds like all of their words run together, and has a french/country type gumbo spicy feel to it, they're most likely from the DEEEEEEP south.

I think all of em are cute. My favorite accent is the one that i can understand  Now when it comes to languages, if u speak Italian, French, or even Spanish, u could be saying "Kenya, u smell like boo boo" for all i care. I'd still melt

people from Cali just sound like O-dog from Menace to me...but every city/region has a vernacular, slang, accent exclusive to that area so peoeple from Oakland prolly sound different than L.A. but i would'nt be able to tell...a lot of southerners have funny soundin accents..like Trick Daddy...he sound like a runaway ****

I have a mixed accent, its like a Bermuda Accent, meets New York, meets Baltimore, but i mean i really dont like it cause i am always being made fun of cause of the way i pronounce words, i like portugesse accents, and Jamaican accents esp. when speakin' patois.
