Thank goodness I no longer attend Xavier. Damn shame they didn't evacuate people in the dorms..they made em stay right there....
Man, I'm soo glad I GRADUATED! School has just started and people had to turn around and go right back home! The poor freshmen...they don't have cars and not many upperclassmen friends, I bet their mommas and daddys were on the phone with the quickness. I'm wondering how campus is holding up since you know once that canal floods main campus floods. I remember two years ago we just got some heavy rain and main campus was a mess! Luckily a lot of people made it to Houston and Baytown and things like that. Yeah, that was a trip about not evacuating the dorms, but that stems from something that went down last year when they evacuated students b/c of the potential storms. I bet folks are sitting up in the Admin building right now chilling in the chapel.
^^^ Im sayin Ash. I just went down there last week to get my things. I cried this morning cause it looks so bad down there. To think this happens every year
well... it's bout towards Sept. 10th... which is the peak of the **** season... there's another one out there right now.... hopefully it won't threaten anybody
***** uncle voice* Whatchu know bout dat dere boy??
i've been into meteorology since 7th grade... that prolly would be my field if i hadn't of gone to an HBCU.... besides TWC stimulates my mind... especially when i'm ****...
And I thought I was the only one into that stuff.....
Check ya PM's.
Watching the news is very sad. I've been watching CNN for like the past 2 hours and the stuff its showing is totally crazy. I mean, the coast has to be like one of the most beautiful places you can go to in the states. The water is just amazing, the houses and beaches are amazing. At night, to see the casinos, its just mind blowing and now....
Same thing for new orleans. The french quarters was just sooo soulful. New Orleans was just a "jazzy" town period and now 80% of it is under water. People are on top of their homes wishing for the coast guards to see and get them. I was watching this one man who lost his wife because he said he couldnt hold on to her when the house split and it made me cry. My boyfriend's family is basically from new orleans and he hasnt heard from his granny, she left and went somewhere else but the thing is alot of LA is floaded so hopefully she's okay so pray for them please. His sisters lost their homes. They have to move to central florida. It blew away in the winds. One is just soooo **** because she's getting married in like 3 weeks and ALL her wedding things were in the house.
