LOL I experienced some last night.
I usually don't sing in choirs but the lady asked me and she seemed pretty desparate for some people to make a choir for the Youth Anniversary (yeah everybody has a anniversary at a black church). But anyway...yesterday we were going over a really hard song and nobody in the Alto section could hit the notes so we were getting a bit frustrated. I lucked up and hit them a couple times but nobody was consistent. So the director sees the Alto section just gave up so he tells us to sit down and like puts us in Time-Out until he's ready for us to sing "Oh Happy Day". This one lady brought her 1 year old and her other son (who's crying the whole rehearsal) so finally she gets up and leaves. The end of rehearsal comes. One lady from the Soprano's stands up and says that there's been too much talking and it distracts people from learning their part. Then the lady who's in charge of the Young Adults stands up and asks who's singing the solo for "Oh Happy Day"....the director said somebody from the choir but we just need to work on getting the harmony straight first. Well she must have wanted the solo or something...and I guess the section was making her look bad..... and says that the Altos need to listen to each other (translation= "listen to her) because everyone is singing different notes. So I'm looking at her like ok I can agree with that. Then the director was like
"This is my Choir"...apparently here and him had got into it before I don't know. So they go back and forth fighting for the last word...
In front of everybody else
Any way...to make a long story short my friend pulls me aside after rehearsal and was like you know she was talking about you because she's used to being the loudest person in the Alto section Yes the lady was being jealous. Guess she thought I was trying to out sing her or something for the solo part :lol: Church People

I REMEMBER ONE DAY AT CHURCH, THIS LADY WAS GETTING UPSET BECAUSE THIS OTHER LADIES KID KEPT GETTING UP AND MOVING, AND THE KID HAD TO PASS BY HER IN THE PEW TO GET OUT, SO SHE KEPT HAVING TO SHIFT SO THE KID COULD GET BY. SO THE LADY GOT UPSET AND AFTER CHURCH SHE TOLD THE LADY WITH THE KID THAT SHE NEEDED TO CONTROL HER MUTHAFREAKIN (SHE SAID THE REAL THING!!!!) KID. SO THE LADY GOT UPSET AND WAS LIKE WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT AND SHE WAS LIKE U KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'M TALKING ABOUT, CONTROL YOUR DAMN KID. SO THEY STARTED ARGUING BACK AND FORTH AND BEFORE U KNOW THEY JUMPED IN EACH OTHERS FACE AND THEY HAD TO RESTRAIN THE WOMEN. THIS ALL HAPPENED ON CHURCH GROUNDS, IN FRONT OF THE PASTOR.
IT WAS SO EMBARASSING.
We were out for the holidays this past winter, so our dance group decided to rehearse in between our regular practice days. We have this one girl in our group that is just unbearable! All practice she just would not cooperate with us and she repeatedly kept trying to stir up something. After practice her grandmother came and one of our advisors to the group started to talk to her about her grand child. Well, hostile words were being said in front of the whole dance team!
Grandmother: What The funny thing about it is that we were supposed to have our youth pastor come and speak to us about spirituality. The advisor told the grandmother that the girl had an attitude. The grandmother tried to act dumb like she didn't know what it means when someone says you have an attitude. Then the youth pastor and the girl's grandmother got into it while everybody was STILL sitting there!
The youth pastor said, "You can let her do whatever she wants to do in your house, but in the House of the Lord..."
I didn't get to hear the rest 'cause somebody finally decided that maybe the children shouldn't be in the mist of all this. You don't say!
The girl stumped out cussing and saying that this was that time of the month for her. I told her that it's my time of the month too, but you don't see me creating all of this drama!
I was just laughing through all of this because this was not the first time we have had to deal with her this way, and it wasn't the last.
well im the captain on my church step team(yes we do have a step team) We had a preformance last summer for VBS(Vacation Bible School) and it was a really good one.
well these 2 girls on the team were beefin about some non church related stuff.(very childish) well during one of the transition steps we had to swing our arms left and right the 2 girls had to pass by each other.
all of a sudden we heard this smacking sound. girl hit the other girl in the stomach and the other girl smacked the girl who hit her. then fists were flying and i had to try to help break them up. then one girl hit me. i was like hey, hit me again imma knock you out.
well those 2 girls got pulled out and we finshed our preformance. that night was mad crazy. ill never forget it
Fighting in church??? tsk tsk tsk
Well this happend like 2 weeks ago at church...
Ok our church is kinda modern..the choir doesnt march out they jus come u kno wheneva they get there...
So the band is playing some song..i forget..its a drummer..a guy on the piano..and a bass player..
So er'body is standing up singing the song or whatever..and the next thing u kno u see this woman marching in at a fast pace..
Its a older woman but she moving quick as hell..then u see this other chick she gotta b like 23 or sumthing and she walkin behind her crying...
So the woman gets up to where the band is and pulls the piano player by his hair off the piano seat..and starts 2 whooop his ASSSS..like i was like OH DAMN !!!
So u jus see her swinging on em...and she gets him in some kinda head lock...next thing u kno the police come in and arrest her..and she gets taken away in handcuffs saying " Father forgive me"
Come to find out the piano player had been fucckin her daughter and they was engaged 2 be married..but he's been cheatin on her w/ 3 otha women :?

every year we vote on who the chair people of events are at my church and somehow every faction always walks out after they find out their person didnt win
