i like the trade...i think they'll complement each other well...i might be a little out of order for saying this, but they could be another MJ and Pippen, you know Shaq and Kobe, Yao and T-Mac(sorry i just LOVE Yao!)...of course they're both gonna hafta learn how to share the ball, they're used to averaging over 20ppg even 30 some nights...as long as they realize that if they but their "superstar" statuses behind them, they could be LEATHAL...so i'm on the bandwagon, and might i say....PLAYOFFSSSSSS
I can say playoffs easily. Webber of course got a few problems but a change of environment is a good thing most of the time. I dont think Iverson a have any problem adjustin because this is what hes been waitin for. The only reason he puts down almost 30 ppg is because nobody else can do it. I think Iverson gone stay puttin up arond 28 per game just for the fact webber is gonna draw more attention and at the same time webber is gonna keep that 21 and 10 goin even easier than before because he doesnt have to set the tempo like he did in sacramento. Real interestin tho. This make me think about that rasheed wallace from the hawks to the pistons last year. Not meanin that the sixers are gonna go to the finals but they gonna have a BIG jump as far as winnin goes. Come playoffs they goin to at least the 3rd round.
aiight this is the NBA Trade thread...hope ya don't mind...but this could actually be the best thing for my hawks, outside of gettin 'Sheed last year(just had to give him up huh?)
ATLANTA (Feb. 24, 2005) -- The Atlanta Hawks today acquired a 2005 or future first-round draft pick along with Gary Payton, Tom Gugliotta and Michael Stewart from the Boston Celtics in exchange for forward Antoine Walker, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Billy Knight.
THANK GOD!!! now he can take all the shots that he wants to somewhere else!!!!

that's wassup... 'Tione's back home in Boston... Walker and Pierce along w/ Ricky Davis... the race for the Atlantic is now gonna be between Boston and Philly 8)
oh yeah... i guess since one of the West's biggest stars is in the East now... i guess the power is REALLY coming back to the West... 8)
The Sixers will end up in the playoffs, but they wont totally benefit from this trade until next season. As time goes by, C-Webb will get used to the Sixers way of ball, and he and Iverson will get some chemistry going.
The beasts in the East will still be Miami. Shaq's injury is only a day-to-day thing, and they could be close to signing veterans Steve Smith, Wesley Person, and Alonzo Mourning (how nasty will THAT be!!). Again, if they all sign, the REAL benefits wont be seen until next season, but I still think that Miami is taking the East this year. D-Wade's is putting up Isiah Thomas numbers with the power of a Dominique Wilkins (clearly the 80's versions of these players). Lets not forget that Miami also has Eddie Jones. Jones is pretty much past his prime at age 33, but he can still contribute and add 10-15 ppg and a steal or two per game. I'm taking the Heat as the Eastern Conference champs.
As far as Antoine Walker....I couldn't care less. He's been a scrub in my eyes since he came into the league. He'll complain about calls and do this little "whine" dance all over the court when he doesn't get his way, but if you watch him, he'll take a few cheap shots. Plus, he jacks too many damn 3's. His big **** should be down on the block or out on the wing with anybody else 6'9-250lbs.

Thats gone be nice fa ya boy al harrington to because they can really put him in the lead spot to be "the man" and john smith along with the other cat whas his name. Josh childress can get some play and build experience.

Speaking of sixers....we also got Jamal Mashburn...........talk about cleaning house!
Mashburn done played like 5 games in the past 2 seasons lol. But seriously his career may be over. The only real thing the sixers recieved from that trade was rodney rogers because right now mashburn is of no value really. Knowin him as a hoopa and all though he gone make a come back maybe sometime next season and he can be a nice complement. Put up 15 ppg possibly. But that chris webber trade is real interestin. Is this a rasheed wallce-pistons type trade. Na I dont think so. Sheed was happy as what to get out of portland and ATL. But Webber was lookin like he was about to cry on the real. He'll be well aquainted by next year along with the maturation of kyle korver and iguolda(whatever his name is). So they gone make a serious push next year grantin they play good D.

We cant forget the piston at all. I thought after they put the bangs on shaq and kobe w/ crew last year they would get their respect goin into the postseason. They didnt have much depth in the first half of the season but that carlos arroyo trade benefited them and there gonna be **** come playoff time. Most likely its gonna be them and the heat in the eastern conf. finals. Thats gonna be vicious too.

That sound real nice on paper and so far is lookin nice. But as far as playoffs go I dont think their goin anywhere. They have quite a few players. Some nice range throughout the lineup. But if they have to go up against a detriot or a miami its curtains. Get the broom.
