i'm over the venting stage. In my heart i have forgiven him for his absence and lack of concern. I'm not as bitter as i used to be. He's tryna be in the picture now. I haven't forgotten, but i'm also not the type to hold grudges. It takes way more energy to be negative. But to be real, i wouldn't even remember that Father's Day is a holiday if it wasn't for the commercials. :???:

Yeah, Father's Day is like any other day to me. That nicca never calls or give me anything for my day but I chose not to do the eye for an eye thing. I got him some slacks and shirt from Wal-Mart. This dude gave me a stale bag of M & Ms one time for my birthday.

Man fukk that dude forreal..... Ok Im over it. Fathers Day is just one of them days that reminds me of how good a father I need to be when I have kids. Moms held it down as a mom and dad. Her, my grandma, and my aunt raised one hell of a young man. So I gotta show love to all them. R.I.P. Mom

I have plenty that I could vent about but I don't know where to start or how to do it. I do know that we as in the "fatherless children," are very special, I grew up and from a very young age I heard of all statistics that fatherless children are "destined" to become, we beat many odds just in the fact that we graduated high school and made it to college. Even though some may say that I missed out on alot because I don't have a relationship with my father, I will never be able to agree because I don't know what it is to have one, and looking at how messed up many of my friends are who grew up with fathers I can say that I was better growing up without his presence than I probably would of been if he did stayed around because of his character. I do know that no matter how much I may feel that my biological father wasn't around or doesn't care I know that my heavenly father has been with me every step of the way and loves me unconditionally.

Yea Father's Day is just another day for me. I actually would've never known if somebody didnt tell me. I've see my Father maybe 5 times in almost my 19 years of life. The first time was when I was 11. My mom was like Im so much like him that it's scary. It's crazy because he has my number, but never calls. I've had the same home number since I was 14 but not one time has he called. I get no calls on my birthday or anything. I looked him up and found his number last year to invite him to my graduation. I mean who wouldn't want to see their child graduate. Anyway, it was just silence on the phone, he didnt know what to say to me and I didnt know what to say to him...was scared as hell to invite him but I did...he said he'll be there. Graduation day came, holding him to his word, I was looking for him in the crowds, nowhere in site because he didnt come. I get no I apologize...NOTHING. I never called again and dont plan on it. But like Jamila said at least it gives us the opportunity to appreciate Mom for being Mom and Dad...so with that said... Happy Father's Day Mom

I have never met my so called father a day in my life, and as far as I'm concerned he can stay wherever he is. I don't know the whole story with him and my mom, and I never bothered to ask. Yeah, I've thought about him a few times, but not to the point where I wanted to meet him. My mom has been the mother and father throughout my 20 years of life, and I appreciate and love her for all that she's done for me. She's my backbone and my supporter. I've gotten along great without him, and will continue to do so.. So yeah Father's Day is just like another day to me, it comes and it goes...but I still got love and respect for all the fathers in the world who are actually apart of their kids lives..so Happy Father's Day to ya'll.
