The National AIDS Memorial's Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship application is opening on March 1, 2022 and is open to current high school seniors and/or college freshman, sophomores and juniors (ages 27 and younger).
Since 2009, we have awarded a total of $410,000 in undergraduate scholarships to 112 truly amazing and diverse young people nationwide. In 2021, we awarded twelve $5,000 scholarships, and we intend to award the same amount this year. The National AIDS Memorial is deeply committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. Dedicated to continuing the legacy of AIDS educator and activist Pedro Zamora, the National AIDS Memorial awards undergraduate scholarships in the amount of $5,000 to emerging young leaders engaged in the fight against HIV/AIDS and/or efforts toward advancing health, racial, and social justice. These individuals are the next generation of health care providers, policy makers, activists, and caretakers who will be at the helm of the very systems, practices, interventions, research, and advocacy efforts that ultimately bring about an end to HIV/AIDS. | |
