Having contributed over $300,000 in tuition assistance since 2013, the Sinclair Broadcast Group Diversity Scholarship program aims to invest in the future of the broadcast industry and help students from diverse backgrounds, who reflect Sinclair’s audiences nationwide, complete their education and pursue careers in broadcast journalism, digital storytelling, and marketing. The annual Sinclair Broadcast Group Diversity Scholarship complements the company’s efforts to bring more diversity to the industry. This includes enhanced recruitment outreach to build an applicant base that is qualified and diverse. Applications for the 2024 school year are now open, and we can't wait to hear from you. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS To be eligible for a Sinclair Broadcast Diversity Scholarship, an applicant must be: • A U.S. citizen; • A current college sophomore or junior at a four-year undergraduate college or university (scholarships will be applied to applicant’s junior or senior year, respectively); • From a diverse ethnic background; • Pursuing careers in the areas of broadcast journalism, digital / social media storytelling or marketing; • Carrying a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA (or its equivalent) at the time of application. An applicant may not: • Be a full-time employee, or be related to any employee, officer or board member of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., or any of its subsidiaries (“Sinclair”).
