AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Indiana's Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson charged into the stands and fought with fans in the final minute of their game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, forcing an early end to the Pacers' 97-82 win.
The game was stopped with 45.9 seconds remaining when a pushing and shoving between the teams spilled into the stands after fans began throwing things at the players near the scorer's table.
``It's the ugliest thing I've seen as a coach or player,'' Pistons coach Larry Brown said.
After several minutes of players fighting with fans in the stands, the Pacers were pelted with beer, ice, and popcorn as they made their way to the locker room in one of the scariest brawls in an NBA game.
The Palace announcer said the game was being stopped and pleaded with fans not to throw things.
that's a damn shame... :evil: don't blame Artest for goin into the stands after having that beer thrown on you

1. First off, Ben Wallace is a big **** dude.. (and Artest is a big dude himself, but that foul wasn't hard at all... everyone that watches NBA basketball knows Ron Artest is a physical player
2. Maybe in the NFL and NHL and MLB you see people throwing things, but you rarely see that, if not at all at an NBA arena.
3. What game were you watching? did you not see Artest relaxing on the scorer's table? and then something flies at him... Sh*t i'd get up and whoop his ****, and i cosign to the fullest w/ Rod...

Yeah I saw the numerous repeats they showed of this brawl on ESPN....That mess was just craaaazy. I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Thats just shameful. I did crack the hell up tho when a white dude from the crowd came onto the court and got into Ron Artest's face and pushed him, and Artest knocked his **** out. I was rollin. :lol: :lol: :lol:

but come on, you mean to tell me, if your sittin there minding your own business, and someone throws a plastic cup full of liquid at you, you just gonna sit there and take it... :!:
of course the arena is gonna look trashed... you however, was making it seem like they throw things on the court all the time... :?
I saw this and I was just sitting there with my mouth wide open. 1st of all...Ben Wallace pushed Artest hella hard. But I commend Artest for attempting to restrain himself...but when ol' boy threw a beer at him...it was over. I think he was defending himself, and I think there should be more security in the arenas. They should also monitor the amount of alcohol these fans intake. This is absolutely crazy and I feel they were justified for their actions. It was simple self-defense. I really do hope that they find the fans who did this.
That's a good point the Pistons organization whould have some responsibility, Fans shouldn't be able to get that close, adn Artest should have been stopped by some big **** security person
well, the possible suspensions are as follows
B. Wallace- 5 games
J. O'Neal and S. Jackson- 20 games each
