Hello, I am Maria Dolores Leon, But everyone calls me Lolis, my nickname. I am from Grand Junction, Co,. I have always believed in the vision, "Why have a role model, when you can be a role model." I am the youngest of eight children, we are all married and have kids. I have been married for five years and now have two children. Recently I went back to school to show all of my family and friends that a woman can be more that a house wife, while still being a wonderful mother, wife sister, Daugherty, and friend. With still going to school to become more successful and having a full time job to bring food to the table. When I decided to go back to School, I was scared cause I did not know how that was going to go. Even do I was scared I set goals for my self. One of them was to qualify for the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). I have achieved that goal with a 4.0 GPA. When I reached that goal, it was not just for me: it was to show all me family and friends that any goal you set your self no matter how high it is and how far it may seem it can be accomplished, no matter what. My classmates and teachers have notice me dedication to succeed. I know that there are a lot of obstacles along the way, but i know that what i put my mind, i will succeed. I'm not scared no more I'm a gorier. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Lolis Leon
