African Americans and hispanics in the U.S. should work together as minorities on the following issues because we will all rise out of our current positions. The first types of issues that should be adressed by minorities is community and political. For example, gentification not only remodles a community but pushes out low income African Americans and Hispanics from their homes. "Gentification, or more specifically urban gentification, is a term referring to a process in which low-cost, physically deteriorated neighborhoods experience physical renovation and an increase in property values, along with an influx of increasingly wealthier residents who typically displace the prior residents",Gentrification - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Things such as this can be ovided just by minorities standing up for themselves. Just getting people to come together and make a change. Also with the issue of gentification you have the problem of increases in rent which forces the communities minorites to no longer be able to afford the rent in their home neighborhood. For issues such as communtication and culture we as a community just need to remain sticking to our roots not le the moder world change who we are. Moreover on why we should work together on these issues is just that it effects all of use not just on spacific group. You could say that it has a sort of domino effct. Also the more we work togeter the more we are heard. The relationship between African americans and Hispanics can be strethengh by working together.I do not mean only in the work place but outside as well. We should stop looking at the diffrences between the two races and look at how we can both bring each other up; because the black and hispanic population is not one of the most healthist. By this I mean finacially and economically. HBCU's should contiue to support African Americans and Hispancis becaus eit is one way that helps the minorities make something out of themselves. I allows them a chance to face the world and not be judged by who they are but what they have acconmplished in their life. Grants such as the pell grant put many blacks and hispanics through to college and beyond helping them to make something out of themselves. Stopping this would be a huge mistake and would let down so many mioroties who have the knowlege but not the money. Faced with the issues of today any grant that is trying to help minorities is a good one.
