When we all come together to speak we’re all heard as one voice. African Americans and Hispanics have in common that they are minorities and they share some of the same issues with each other i.e. they inhabit the ghettoes, difficult for them to find a good job, live in poverty and most times it’s hard for them to get decent service whether it’s in a hospital or in a restaurant. Both ethnic groups should work together as one to speak on issues such as political, cultural, communication, and community so that their thoughts will be heard not individually but as a whole. Many problems within the African American and Hispanic community prevent all minorities’ opinions from being heard. So if these two groups put aside all their issues with each other and come together as one they will be heard and overcome many obstacles in their own personal lives as well as in their community. Strengthening the relationship between African Americans and Hispanics communities living together would be hard to do but it is possible with time and patience. A lot of the issues they have are the same. So if they were to address the issues together they will achieve more at a faster pace as opposed to going about it on their own. All the energy they put into hating each other and cause trouble in their communities can be put to better more positive use like positive activity in the community. These could be things like keeping their children as well as other peoples children out the streets who are prone to joining gangs and as a result have gang related ****. They could help one another out with things as simple as moving in and greeting each other when passing. By doing this their bond becomes stronger. Historically Black College and Universities should continue to support the needs of African American students and possibly the needs of the growing Hispanic population because majority of the professions out there don’t have a lot of minorities. They don’t have people to tell them that not just Caucasians can be a doctor too or that African Americans can be a dentist or even own their own business that will become a big corporation. With the continued help of Historically Black Colleges and Universities for both ethnic groups there will be minorities represented in every profession you can think of. Even when people do come together there’s always going to be someone or something that’s going to mess it up for both minorities and then you’re all back at square one. If minorities come together for the overall better improvement of life for minorities and look past their own selfish issues things would gradually, not overnight, but gradually change. You would see minorities be able to be represented in places such as corporations and other entities that really run this country. With the help of Historically Black Colleges & Universities and the people within the African American and Hispanic communities this call can happen and our world will be on its way to a better society and better people in it.
