Hispanics and African Americans have always struggled in this country and have always been given obstacles by those who believe they are superior because of their lighter skin color. We need to unite as 1 and help each other overcome these obstacles so that we as well as our children can have a fair chance in the future. We need our people to be involved in politics because that is were everything starts; politics make the world go around. We need equal treatment always. African Americans and Hispanics should always participate in helping our communities and schools should encourage integration. We should participate in events together and speak out for us all as one team and one people. Universities should always encourage and help African American and Hispanic students that show they are good students because we have more obstacles t overcome still today than Anglo Americans, and we face struggles that others don't. The majority of us grew up in low income homes were our parents struggled because there weren't enough opportunities out there for work or help. The majority of our parents were not able to attend college, not because they were lazy or unintelligent, but because they didn't have the resources. These resources that exist today from Universities and others that care, as this website, are helping us today achieve our goals and helping us change the future. Our goal should always be to educate ourselves and become functioning members of society and this can be made possible if there is help. With your help, we will make our dreams come true. Hard work and determination is only part of it. The rest lies in the hands of those that can make it happen by providing us support and financial aid. Let's show everyone that we are just as intelligent and capable!
