African Americans & Hispanics in the U.S. should work together as minorities to address political, cultural, communication, and communities’ issues for several reasons. African Americans & Hispanics need to work together to strengthen their respective nationalities and be well represented in the United States government. Currently, there are not enough African Americans or Hispanics in politics, which makes it harder for us minorities to make a difference in politics. If more people would work together as minorities and make their voices heard in political issues that are currently happening, it would make a big difference. I think the more numbers in people speaking their minds, the more attention the government will have on issues affecting us as minorities. Politics is a major issue that is affecting all of us in the U.S. but especially minority people because it seems as if they leave all of our problems until the end & don’t resolve anything. Hispanics & African Americans should work more on communicating with one another because there is no other way to achieve their goals as minorities without communicating & understanding each other & also because I don’t think us as minorities do enough communicating with one another to make a difference. Most of the times people don’t pay attention to the needs of the minority people, which makes it harder on minorities to have a better life. There are a lot of communities through out the U.S. in which minorities are struggling to have a decent life. If Hispanics & African Americans would get together & help one another in the communities, then it would make it easier for people to live in a lesser **** & cleaner communities. To strengthen the relationship between African Americans & Hispanics in the communities they will have to unite as one & help each other out because the more people there are willing to lend a hand for someone else that is from a different race/culture the more positive things will come out of that. Historically Black Colleges through out the U.S. could continue to support the needs of African American & maybe even Hispanic or Afro-Hispanic students by giving out financial aid or scholarships to students who need it in order to get an education because it seems like every year tuition is increasing in schools in the U.S. & it makes it harder on minorities that aren’t financially fit to pay for classes. I think that is why a lot of students don’t want to go to college because of the costs of going to college. Black Colleges/Universities should support minorities because there are always people of other cultures speaking negatively of Hispanics & African American people because they think we don’t have enough education to become a successful person in life &/or to become a leader in politics or maybe just in the community. I think if Black Colleges/Universities have more Hispanics or Afro Hispanics enrolled in college then it would allow minorities to have a chance to prove non-minority people wrong.
