Being that I am an descendant of the kings and queens from africa, I know the struggle of my people. From being captured by the **** holders, to being lynched, we still as one over came. We over came disparity, discrimination due to skin,hair,gender, even pure hate due to pure ignorance. Ultimately enabling the african american race to overcome the racial barrier to a certian extent. Hatred to me is ignorance. Hatred can be defined as an emotion. Hatred is an emotion motivated by fear. Therefore hatred ties in with prejustice as wel as bigotry against a person or a group. African Americans have been looked down on since we arrived in the United States. People back in the early 1800's didnt even think African Americans were eqauls. The people thought of amny forms of oppresion like the fugitive **** laws, black codes which restricted actions of the newly freed in the south, the klu klux ****, Plessy vs Ferguson, as well as Jim crow laws. It is evident that blacks have been stuggling since the begning of time. There comes a time for change, and i believe that the time is now.
I believe that African Americans and Hispanics in the United States need to work together because the out come will be phenomonal. I believe that we can change the layout of the united states and mold it properly to what it should be. In elections, we need more african american involvement as well as hispanic involvment. i think only then we can be able to make a drastic change. I feel public school arent as effective as private schools in my community. I know private schools have tutions, but every citizen isnt as finacially stable, everyone doesnt have money. that is what balances out the economy and makes america diverse;socio-economics. We have diffrent social class, rich,poor, and the middle class. I believe to overcome racsim and stero types in our communities, we need to have the same resources avalible to all social class. Only then will America live up to its name and become united. by african americans as well as hispanics partaking in the elections, they can then change the problems we face daily, or problems that will effect us in the long run. only then will our voices be heard. I believe that both minortity groups need to attend council meetings and vocing problems we face. This will put an end to polititcans speakin out as a voice, when we the people need to be the voices. Another way to changes polititcal problems, issues in the communities, and communcation is to become more involved in the voting process.If more people get registered and become more invlolved with the elections, they can pick people whom has the same goals for change as them. I think ultimatley afican americans need to become more involved by uniting as one and becoming more vocal in politics. We need more african americans and hispanics in the courts, we need them in the supreme courts, and with legilslation. we need more judges that are of our ethnic background. I even think we need to work in the police feild. I think these two minority groups need to be more domininat in the work field period. I think then we can be treated as equal, as well as become successful in a postieve way.If we stand up and become more dominait we can change a vital part of america which would be a change for the better. We need to become more involved, only then is when we will be able change the obstacles we face. If we dont fight to change them, america will be divided generations to come.
I think reconctruction is the key for strengthing african americans and hispanic communities. I think we need involvement by every party, and money. In my community its diverse. I see descent homes, homeless people, and abonded houses. I believe all thes factors causes problems with long-term and short problems. If our communities had more money invested, I believe they would be kept in better conditions. I think poor neighborhoods need more centers avalibale. The centers can range anywhere from day care centers, to health care clinics. We also need recreation centers for our children. this would pose as an after school, or a safe place for children to play and hang out. The more centers we have the more jobs we have for the citizens. This is a win win situation. Abandoned housing brings down property value. Abondoned housing also attracts negative attention. I have heard on numerous occasions where the homeless tried to keep warm and burned down the house, or criminals **** and even **** people in these home. By eliminaiting the abondoned homes existence would cut down crime rates, and help property value. I also think more organizations need to formed within the communities. These organizations will be desgined for the betterment of two minority groups. I think we need more non-**** organiztions because the crime rates are higher in these communities v.s other communities. Pregancy rates by teenagers as well drop out rates are higher. I think we need organizations that speak out against prevention. By following through with these actions, the african american and hispanic communities will be stronger within the united states.
Historically Black Colleges and Universities can continue to support the needs of african american students by continuing doing what they are doing. They give that helping hand and hope when there isnt any. I have visited a few historically black colleges, and the enviorment is estatic. Its like a big family. You feel comforatable, sort of like a big family. You dont have to worry about fitting in with other races or groups because everybody is of the same ethic backgound. Historically Blacks colleges should continue to give african americans that chance to take their education to the next level, andm they are known for outstanding academics. Black colleges are apart of the history in the united states,who wouldnt want to be apart of history?
