If one cannot depend on his fellow brothers or sisters of the same race ethnic background, than what next will form growth in an individual. In order to succeed in life one must have the hemming of hands together of their background to support their every move in the direction that is being strived for. As much as I believe in my race I also believe in the race of others. Minorities; such as, African Americans and Hispanics must make it a necessity to work together, for without diversity this would be a one race world, a world which would not last because in order for our world to survive it needs culture.
One cannot make a change on dreams alone, for " vision without action is merely a dream, action without vision just passes the time, but action with vision can change the world; therefore community issues and politics are the two most important subjects that should be thought highly of in an African American and Hispanic society. If change is desired than words must be spoken into sentences forming a renewal of an atmosphere. Without those words "I have a dream" where would we be? So it is up to us to speak out and speak loud.
A majority of African American and Hispanic families are not financially stable enough to send their kids even themselves to college, this is caused by out past generations, even though our blood, sweat and tears went into everything we’ve done all we have for showing is the scars on our bodies and the memories we hold. I was once told that there is nothing new under the sun, and that the pain that I go through caused by a situation in life has already existed in the life of another. This makes me think that the determination that I have for college has been longed for and felt out before by my fellow brothers and sisters. Those that went on to better themselves and their situations, but simply cannot because of the lack of the one thing that would make it possible, money. I believe highly in the financial support of colleges and universities for African American and Hispanic people. Without these grants/ scholarships that are offered for our people we will not grow into what is desired for out future generations. I want to see not only myself, but my people succeed into whatever their visions for themselves may be, this is made possible through the grants, through those who provide future dreams develop into reality of better living.
In order for change and peace to occur in African American and Hispanic communities and understanding and a uniting must take place. In order for their to be a uniting of other cultures their must first be a uniting within ones own self. We all have visions and plans for ourselves that we share with only the closest among us, We all want to grow and turn into what we desire for not only ourselves, but for all of our people. One way we can strengthen the relationship between us is to acknowledge that we all have a destination in life, no matter what it may be. Everyone wants to end up somewhere better than where they sit now. We must speak up about the changed we want to see within ourselves, only to better our future generations.
America stands on two sayings, the first being "In God We Trust" and the second being "United We Stand". As much as I see I hear also. If God is truly who we trust than why is His name not allowed in our public schools, why are so many controlled by man rather than the one who created man, the saying in God we trust is slowly leaving our everyday speech. What next will leave, united we stand? In my opinion united we stand has left this states actions and speech a long time ago. There are few who can say differently. I believe in standing united with my fellow African Americans and Hispanic brothers and sisters. Through our dreams and visions we will rise and build up what once was a "United" states. This is only made possible through grants and scholarships that are earned by out persistence to better those after us. God Bless
