Unity is the word that makes this country different from any other however it is starting to disappear because of the disagreements that are happening between the African American and Hispanic communities. The rivalry between African Americans and Mexicans was made by society, but the problem has been growing and might bring this country down as time goes by if nothing is done to prevent it. Most of the problem come from gang affiliations which target young kids so they can keep growing and become stronger.Hispanics and African Americans should unite for political, cultural and other reasons because it will make them stronger. If both communities unit they will be able to defend themselves from political abuses like the Jim Crow laws which were **** the rights of African Americans in the South or HR4437 bill that targeted immigrants. The unity will bring protection from ignorant discrimination that comes from other communities and the government. Unity between these two communities will make this country stronger and it will take a big weight out of everyone who is in it.Unity will make this community stronger and it will allow us to look at many possibilities. Our communities are plagued by gang ****. If we unite, we could cut out much of the **** affecting our youth. Unity has to start with the youth. It could be done by talking to younger people about the problem of **** and as they get older make the facts more concrete. Programs after school like Barrios Unidos, is a small group made by a man who came from a rough neighborhood and had a difficult life, when he was young in Salinas California, which is where I’m from. Programs like this one could be made for kids and teens that are or want to be involved in a gang and don’t know in what they’re getting into.Black Colleges and Universities have helped support the needs of African American and Hispanic students because these two communities are the ones that need more help. Schools are trying to help because the problem between the two communities is happening in this country and we are the only ones that are going to be affected. Schools are recognizing that the United States was made by the hands of people of color. Most Americans do not appreciate the immigrants because a lot come illegally and get their jobs.Americans fear not only the day of unity between African Americans, Hispanics and other minorities but the unity within themselves; and fight for a better cause. When movements start it is not clear and difficult to do, but the good things come after wards. One example is the independence of this country; people hade doubts at first, but they made it and its people like them we need. If we start trying to help these two communities unite it will take time and to be real it might even take blood, but in the end the problem might end.
