but ummm...to address your question...
i'm not sure about the actual decrease....someone wrote an article in the most recent issue of our paper.....that there would be a "freeze" on tuition cost...for at least a year....to give students a break...particularly the seniors who have supposedly had ridiculous tuition increase each year since they 1st came....
& supposedly, our chancellor (Chancellor James Renick) is behind it...
and his decision inspired the Univeristy of North Carolina Board of Governors to freeze tuition across all 16 UNC campuses
so yeah.....not all of what they do with and to this school makes sense 2 me....but no one can deny that we have a pretty great chancellor right now....
